Fashion - Chanel: The Little Black Jacket Exhibition, London - 05-10-2012
Chanel: The Little Black Jacket Exhibition, London
In celebration of the fashion house's most iconic piece, Chanel's "Little Black Jacket" exhibit opens in London's Saatchi Gallery this October. A visual examination of the jacket's versatility and timeless qualities, the exhibition features a series of celebrity photographs taken by Chanel's creative director, the legendary Karl Lagerfeld. Appearances are made by major models, actresses, and fashion icons, such as Alexa Chung, Daphne Groeneveld, Elizabeth Olsen, Yoko Ono, and Sarah Jessica Parker. Aesthetically, the collection is a homage to the classic style conceived by none other than Coco Chanel herself; Lagerfeld's pristine black and white photographs exude a sense of sophistication, beauty, and individuality. The collection of photographs is also featured in Lagerfeld's new book entitled "The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited", in collaboration with former Vogue Paris's editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld. Make sure to stop by Chanel's "The Little Black Jacket" exhibit, featured at the Saatchi Gallery in London from October 12th to October 28th.
