A handful of the chosen signed a non-disclosure agreement in order to get a glimpse of Lamborghini’s much-anticipated new LP570-4 Superleggera in Singapore the other day. Details are understandably scarce and the car won’t be officially unveiled until the 2010 Geneva Auto Show in March, but a general rundown as well as an artful rendering have leaked to the ‘Net. Word around the track is the thing will pack 570 hp, only a 10 hp increase over the LP560-4, but with carbon fibre construction and a lower power-to-weight ratio that should make quite a difference.
An updated aero package including a new front spoiler and a large carbon fibre rear wing, a reworked front suspension arrangement, and carbon ceramic brakes are indicated. In terms of a 0 – 100 km/h clock, 3.5 seconds is being bandied about. The car will be offered in orange, grey, lime green, yellow, black and white, with somewhat naff Superleggera-tagged striping in the colours of the Italian flag on the side. Contrast stitching on the leather upholstery in the somewhat stripped down interior can be matched to the exterior paint. Whoopee.
