Starting at 8 am, Trafalgar Square protestors will hold 52 red balloons and 48 blue balloons — a representation of Artfinder’s artists, which are 52% female and 48% male. A celebration of female artists, Bello Bar in Dublin will be honouring International Women’s Day with one of its Kaleidoscope Nights. The night will feature music solely composed by women, as well as short films created by female filmmakers. Performers include the all women’s choir Dulciana. The event will open at 8pm on March 8th, with tickets available now — prepare for the avant-garde and the inspirational.
This year at the Roman Baths and Pump Room, women can find the perfect place for stimulating conversation over cocktails. The event, “Be Inspired. Be Connected. Be Bold,” features a reception with champagne and canapés before guests have the chance to hear stories from successful women in a panel discussion. A special showing of Embrace will be available in Odeon theater at 6:45 pm on International Women’s Day. Starring activist Taryn Brumfitt, founder of The Body Image Movement, this documentary explores women’s struggles with body image and how to cultivate body positivity. Screenings are available in select Odeon theaters worldwide.

For the athletic and the under-appreciated, Alpine Sports Andermatt is hosting an event in honour of female skiers. Dedicated to improving confidence and skiing skills in women, Ski Like A Girl will offer coaching from Alpine Sports’ top female instructors and a day on the slopes in the company of other women.
