On October 14th 2013, Boucheron kicked off a ten-day art exhibition at their Paris location. The exhibition marks the 120th anniversary of the opening of their boutique at 26 Place Vendôme and the beginning of their presence in the most famous square in Paris.
The exhibition features the work of Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto. The black and white seascapes presented are the famed photographer’s meditation on the intricate play between light, water, and air. The opening was attended by a number of notable people, including Hiroshi Sugimoto himself, François-Henri Pinault, Salma Hayek-Pinault, Pierre Bouissou, and many others.
At the same time as the artistic exhibit, Boucheron also exhibited the new High Jewelry collection “Hôtel de la Lumière”, a remarkable collection that work with the light played off the stones.
Hiroshi Sugimoto’s exhibition can be viewed at Boucheron until October 25th.
