Paul Smith brings a note of colour to the Vun restaurant in Milan

Paul Smith often stays at the Park Hyatt Milano, partly because he is a good friend of manager Claudio Ceccherelli. The idea of creating a table service for the hotel arose from an evening at which the chef at the Park Hyatt Milano's restaurant, Andrea Aprea, prepared some amazing dishes that Smith particularly enjoyed. The result is this service in which culinary creations interact with the colourful stripes of colour. Manufacturer Richard Ginori made the service in a limited edition of 200, all numbered and signed by the designer. Paul Smith's design was hand-painted by craftspeople who ensured that each plate is a unique work of art.
The restaurant at the Park Hyatt Milano is named simply "Vun," which in the Milanese dialect means "one."
