Declared a National Historic Landmark in in 1987, this 19-floor high rise building complex made its way to world fame thanks to the annual Christmas Tree lighting. Since 1933, millions of visitors flock to Rockefeller centre to gaze up at the marvelous tree at or slice the ice on the magical rink, under the twinkling lights of one of the biggest christmas trees in America. Radio City Music Hall and NBC Studios are among the more popular buildings in the Plaza too, with locals and tourists seeking their few minutes of fame on national and world television.
