Rodial is skincare on a mission - a mission to deliver effective results with natural ingredients. Luxos meets the founder of Rodial, Maria Hatzistefanis, who tells us about the magic behind her skincare brand.
How did Rodial get started?
I noticed that there was a large gap between all-natural but uneffective products, and highly scientific but chemically aggressive products in the skincare market. I founded Rodial with the goal of bridging this gap. The inspiration of this skincare line came from Greece, where I grew up watching my grandmother create homemade cream with pomegranate. The exotic fruit, which is "Rodi" in Greek, is known for its antioxidant quality.
What is special about pomegranate?
It has two to three times the anti-oxidant capacity of red wine and green tea. It is a powerful detoxifier, and afree radicals buster. With cutting edge science, we have been able to develop pomegranate ellagic tannin from the original fruit, and integrate it in all of our products.
What does the Rodial skincare line offer?
Glamotox, A-list Cleanser, Boob Job, and Tummy Tuck are some of our star products. Rodial targets very specific concerns so our line is precise. We don't want 100 ineffective creams that just smell different. Rodial is very much a word-of-mouth brand that delivers true results. Our celebrity clients include Victoria Beckham, Nicole Richie, and many socialites who are devoted to our succinct products.
What does luxury mean to you personally?
That's a good question... I think luxury is being home. With lots of cozy cushions around, scented candles - a very comfortable and warm environment where you can spend time with your family and friends. That's genuine luxury. Also time is very important because I travel so much.
