Champagne for Life?
We talk to the man who's making it happen
by Alessia Sara Domanico
It's called Champagne for Life and it's a club exclusively for women, but the one behind it, is a man. Luxury lifestyle entrepreneur David Johnstone is a seasoned vet when it comes to VIP services and treatments. Having started out at London's posh Grosvenor House Hotel he later branched out to establish concierge services such as The Savile Row of Tailor Made London and Key-2 Luxury - a special service that offers its members global luxury priveleges.
We caught up with Johnstone to find out more about Champagne for Life and how our female readers can get in on some lifetime bubbly...

Why champagne and why just for women?
Champagne for Life was created (to be) the ultimate female accessory that no lady should leave home without! We felt women needed something that not only empowered, but also created an easy glamorous existence globally and champagne really is the epitome of luxury! By simply flashing her Champagne for Life card or smartphone app, a woman can become a true global VIP and receive complimentary champagne and complimentary entry to all our recommended partnering venues, across the world, every day, for life!
Where we can find Champagne for Life?
Champagne for Life is spreading its wings over the next 18 months to 100+ cities across the world including London, Paris, New York, LA, Madrid, Sydney, Dubai, Mexico City and Monte Carlo. We are therefore ensuring a choice of local venues as well as those which are globally renowned. This will ensure that all Champagne for Life holders are not only VIPs when at home but, as importantly, when they are abroad. Our associated partnering venues will also be showcasing themselves with Champagne for Life events that all Champagne for Life women and guests will be invited to.
Can you tell us a bit about how part of the £500 member’s fee goes towards charity?
Yes, by becoming a member of Champagne for Life, ladies need to simply photograph the receipt on their mobile at the end of the evening. Up to 10% (minimum 5%) of the bar bill will be donated by the chosen venue owner to The Global Charity Trust. Along with Lord Stanley Fink, I founded The Global Charity Trust in 2011 under the Charities Aid Foundation. It directly helps specific worldwide charity projects, where money raised goes directly into causes (concerned with) the environmen, education, the elderly, health and children sectors, to name a few.

What does it take for a brand such as yours to establish lifelong links with global venues?
Free Holdings (Champagne for Life's parent company) works with leading luxury brands worldwide, which means our reputation and continuity is delivered. Champagne for Life follows the Free Holdings ethos of luxury; by uniting the leading venues around the world. The goal is to create a united luxury experience that works globally and culturally no matter who or where you are.
What events can we look forward to in the future?
We are an official partner of The Global Party in 2013. When you purchase Champagne for Life, a complimentary invitation to The Global Party will be sent to you. The Global Party will be held over 4 days on Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th, Friday 28th and Saturday 29th of June 2013. 360,000+ of the world’s most influential VIPs will party at 360+ luxury venues over 120+ cities, in order to help raise awareness and money for 360+ local charities and The Global Charity Trust.
