Room + Rumours
Başak Dizer Tatlıtuğ and Deniz Marşan are two very stylish fashion consultants well-known in the Turkish fashion world. They recently opened a concept store called Room + Rumours in Istanbul's high-end Nişantaşı district, where they can collaboratively showcase their creative talents. They designed Room + Rumours as a multi-disciplinary space that brings together art, gastronomy and music with fashion. Take a coffee break after shopping here or pick a dish from their wide-ranging menu of international delicacies – that is if you can tear yourself away from their fantastic selection of fashion brands! Among the highlights are Turkish designers Hakan Yıldırım and Özgür Masur's special collection for Room + Rumours as well as Meltem Özbek, Eda Güngör and Zeynep Tosun's designs.
Launched as a weekly thematic market for artisans in Karaköy, Souq introduced a different shopping experience to the city's shopping scene. Now the brainchild of former editor Yaprak Aras and musician Alican Tezer has a fantastic permanent location at Kanyon, where they can showcase their signature selection of local brands. They present their pick of the crop from among the local designers and continue to lead the way as the number one destination for coolhunters. Expect to find illustrated silk scarves by Rumisu, Tox Leather's accessories, White Posture's innovative shirts, Homemade Aromatherapy's natural skincare products, BABA's luxurious pet accessories and more.

Located in Aziziye Palas, a historical Nişantaşı building with lots of character, RB Living takes you on a time-traveling tour among home décor, fashion and design objects. This duplex offers a personalised shopping experience in its warm and cosy atmosphere, and it's not only a store to shop from, but a place to get inspired for your own living quarters. Each space that RB Living's founder Rezzan Benardete touches comes alive and this store is no exception. She gathers a selection of brands that portray her own impeccable taste, such as talented fashion designer Banu Bora Mumcu's loungewear brand In the Mood for Love, whose latest collection features luxurious PJs, kimonos and dresses that match the store's romantic mood. Architect Tayfun Mumcu's classic modern decorative objects, Sırr Seramik's ultra-light elegant ceramic designs and Luxury 34's magnificent jewellery collection are also on display at RB Living.
Also knownas the Anna Wintour of Turkish fashion, Fatoş Yalın created a concept store channelling her own taste after quitting the magazine world. At FEY, she displays collections that convey her timeless and classic style as well as unique vintage pieces. Yalın is not a designer but she is a maestro when it comes to elegant but striking looks. Such are the pieces you will find at FEY: subtle and easily matchable. It's worth popping into this elegant store to take in its tasteful atmosphere – even if you're not shopping.

290 Square Meters
Born and raised in the Netherlands, Ali İşitir decided to recreate his favourite concept store from Amsterdam in Istanbul's bohemian Galata. Soon after, he needed a bigger space in Akaretler. Today, 290 Square meters offers authentic and post-trendy alternative brands as well as limited-edition clothing and accessories by well-known brands. Comme Des Garçons, Raf Simons for Fred Perry, A.P.C., Adidas Originals, Stone İsland, The North Face and Dagmar are among the many brands that populate the store's racks. Their sneaker collection is outstanding.
