Commissioned by the famous Florio family at the end of the 18th century, during the grandeur of the Belle Epoque period, this building with its charateristic castle shape derives its name from the Greek nymph of health, Igiea. It was in fact built as an exclusive health center, famous for its curative properties. The Basile room, restyled according to Ernesto Basile's original design, and decorated by painter Ettore de Maria Bergler, can accomodate up to 120 delegates.
