The Langham, London
History, modernity and hospitality on Regent Street
Since 1865 the Langham London has been a veritable icon among London hotels, popular with heads of state, Hollywood celebrities, literary masters and business tycoons. Arthur Conan Doyle and Oscar Wilde once supped together here, and the tradition of afternoon tea was born in the dazzling Palm Court. The tradition of excellence continues today, enhanced by the recent £80 million restoration. Striking gilded interiors complement the contemporary European cuisine served at The Landau Restaurant, while the more glam Artesian bar serves a wide selection of creative cocktails. In December 2010, Europe’s first Chuan Spa will open inside The Langham.
