Nishimura
Nishimura presents its new Chef de Cuisine, Yoshinori Mizutani, who has almost 20 years of experience. During his career, he has served distinguished diplomats and has been appointed as the private chef for the Japanese Ambassador in Singapore and Cairo. Now, he brings his culinary skills to the Chinese capital, where foodies have quickly recognised seafood as his specialty. Nishimura has three main areas. At the teppan tables, you can enjoy hot dishes and choose from Beijing’s most extensive sake menu. Have the chefs prepare the freshest sashimi to your order at the sushi bar, or watch their incredible showmanship as they prepare grilled items right in front of you.

CHI, the Spa
Shangri-La Hotel introduced Chi The Spa in 2007, in its location in the Valley Wing. There are 11 private treatment suites, herbal steam showers, a colour therapy bath, and a relaxation area. Signature treatments all begin with a foot massage ritual, which is a way of inducing relaxation to prepare guests for the therapy itself. The 80-minute Chi Balance treatment is a unique blend of Asian techniques personalized according to your Yin/Yang status and focusing the earth, wood and fire elements, for construction, mobility, and peace of mind respectively. Acupuncture, energizing massage and relaxing massage are used with pure Eastern element oils to harmonize the flow of Chi energy.
