Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme
Five-star luxury on the prestigious Rue de la Paix
The Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme is situated at one of the most prestigious addresses in Paris. Just steps away from Place Vendôme, the hotel is walking distance to the Louvre, the Opera House, and the luxury shopping streets of Rue du Fauborg and St. Honoré. Location, of course, isn’t everything, but fortunately the Park Hyatt delivers on all fronts. Famed designer Ed Tuttle undertook a recent renovation of the five buildings that comprise the hotel. Tuttle maintained the 19th century Haussman-style courtyards and the elegance of the buildings, but otherwise the Park Hyatt is firmly entrenched in the 21st century, a tribute to minimalist design, contemporary art and the latest technology.
Rooms and suites
The Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme has a range of room types, all offering exquisite décor in timber, silk and bronze, with quality bed linen, high-speed internet, and other amenities that can include limestone bath, soaking tub, and enclosed rain shower. Other touches expressing luxury hospitality include bathrobes and slippers, and morning newspaper as per your request. The 40 lovely suites, all designed by Ed Tuttle, include the Imperial Suite on the second floor. The 250-square-metre suite has high ceilings, and a splendid 85-square-metre living room, as well as complete bedroom and service facilities. The in-Suite Spa concept provides residents with individual spa services, such as whirlpool bath, steam room shower, and a massage table. Enjoy it all in the special atmosphere provided by Bang & Olufsen media technology.
Restaurant Pur'
A visit to the French capital should always include a French culinary experience at its highest levels, as this is as much of the country's culture as the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. A Michelin star is of course a guarantee, but much more than this, the chefs' approach is paramount in putting Le Pur' right at the top of fine dining restaurants. Ed Tuttle's interiors include a window looking into the kitchen where chef Jean-François Rouquette's "cuisine-spectacle" demonstrates the processes involved in his original culinary creations.
LUXOS recommends: Lightly-salted line-caught sea bass, baby artichoke poivrade, dulce seaweed and miso

Les Orchidées
Les Orchidées is a restaurant open from breakfast to lunch, and it represents an ideal setting for a business lunch, or a cosy occasion with friends. The atmosphere is given its sophisticated charm by the groups of orchids on all sides, a large transparent fireplace, columns, and the adjoining venues, a glass conservatory on one side and the La Terrasse bar on the other. There is an Impressionistic triptych painting by Sideo Fromboluti on one wall. Les Orchidées also serves afternoon tea, with teas by Betjeman & Barton including an exclusive Park Hyatt blend. Open from 6.30 a.m. to 7 p.m., with brunch served on Saturdays and Sundays.
Luxos recommends: Red tuna marinated with amontillado, served with ratatouille with pineapple and Sechuan pepper; Cut of vine-grilled Wagyu beef, Macaire potato with spices, sucrine heart with old balsamic.
La Terrasse
La Terrasse is a lovely bar at the heart of the Park Hyatt Vendome hotel. It offers the ideal setting for lunch in the shadow of olive trees, or for a drink with friends in the evening. Lunch is served at La Terrasse from April to October (in good weather).
Le Bar
This space near the rear of the building has two spectacular chandeliers by Granet, black glass tables with bronze trim, and mahogany wall panelling that provides a pleasant contrast with the sandy-coloured limestone that dominates floor, walls and ceiling. There are six paintings by Ed Paschke, famous for his bright, abstract expressionist paintings. The interior looks onto the open courtyard, and it has become a favourite venue for luxury travellers and Parisians alike, who enjoy the arty atmosphere and savour creative cocktails such as Park Flower or Purple Mojito, Yann Daniel's signature drinks.
Meetings and events
Whether for a wedding or a business conference, Park Hyatt Paris Vendome offers all the help needed to create a memorable event, enhanced by the culinary specialities created specially by the hotel's Michelin-star executive chef, Jean-François Rouquette. There are seven function rooms, for from 5 to 150 guests, and up to 350 people for cocktail receptions. All the meeting rooms are on the same floor, so that flow from one room to another, if required, is easy and seamless. All spaces have high-speed Wifi internet. Whatever the occasion, the hotel will work with you on all the details, including tailored lighting, music and décor.
