Palazzo Magnani Feroni
An alluring hotel in a luxurious Renaissance palace near Ponte Vecchio
From the moment one enters through the grand seventeenth century portal, and on through the wrought iron gate showcasing the arms of the Feroni family, guests feel as if they have been transported to the ancient splendor of Renaissance Florentine life. The Palazzo Magnani Feroni, an exclusive hotel housed in a private home originating from the sixteenth century, remains a prestigious example of luxurious hospitality. Each of the hotel's 12 suites combine luxury, charm and privacy, with staff that will do whatever it takes to satisfy every customer's needs. Whether one requires an organized tour, a private, en-suite dinner, a chauffeured visit to Chianti, or tickets to an exhibition, the staff at Palazzo Magnani will do their utmost to meet all requests. And with a 24-hour reception service, the staff is fully equipped to meet any needs with utmost efficiency, before, during or after one’s stay.
Just a five-minute walk from Ponte Vecchio, surrounded by medieval houses, towers and palaces, Palazzo Maganani Feroni has been at the center of Florentine aristocratic life for over 500 years. Bought by the current owner's family in 1735, the palace underwent extensive renovation in 1999 with one primary goal: luxury. With its four floors, the hotel is host to a bounty of period furniture, frescoes, vaulted ceilings, antique chandeliers and original tapestries. Because of the latter, which hail from the hotel’s previous incarnation as the famed Galleria Salvadori, once one of the most important art galleries in Europe, the hotel is under the protection of the Italian Authority for the protection of the artistic heritage. Each of the hotel’s 12 suites is decorated with tasteful antique furnishings and materials originating from the owners’ collection. Every suite consists of a large living room, spacious master bedroom, and lush marble bathroom, with beauty products by Bulgari. Breakfast is served daily in the Murano Hall, dominated by an original Murano crystal chandelier. On colder evenings, guests can enjoy drinks in the cozily lit Murano Hall, and in the summer months guests climb the sixty steps to the rooftop terrace for cocktails and breathtaking views of Florence and the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
Suites
With only 12 suites, Palazzo Magnani Feroni offers guests discretion, privacy and an unprecedented attention to detail. Every morning, guests receive a complimentary newspaper in their preferred language, and every evening there is a personal turndown service. In between these morning and nightly rituals, pleasure and comfort are assured by a host of hospitality details. All rooms have Wi-Fi connections and LCD TV’s, CD and DVD players, along with a minibar and electronic safe. The hotel features suites that are all different, and so suit a range of tastes and functions. The Junior Suite is the smallest, yet one of the most requested, accommodation resources, due to the wonderful frescoes that cover the walls. And at an impressive 100 square meters, each of the Deluxe Suites boast an opulent elegance worthy of the palace’s aristocratic roots. For the ultimate luxury, the Feroni Deluxe Suites on the second floor have independent living rooms, in addition to a superb master bedroom and marble bathroom. The Feroni Deluxe Suites also come equipped with a Vibro Power Machine, offering 52 different fitness and beauty programs, as well as a laptop computer and printer.
The Palazzo Bar
The spectacular view from the Panoramic Terrace is available only to a select few, for it is a privilege reserved exclusively for hotel clients and their guests. Open every day from 6 p.m., the bar at Palazzo Magnani Feroni is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day of shopping, working or sightseeing in Florence. The hotel can also organize private dinners on the Panoramic Terrace. For as few as two people, the hotel will arrange an extraordinarily special evening, with dinner served by a private waiter. The hotel needs only six hours advance notice to prepare. The same service can also be supplied in guests’ rooms.
