NH Palacio de Tepa

Aristocratic elegance in the bohemian Las Letras district

Originally an early 19th century noble residence, the new NH Palacio de Tepa has recently undergone a detailed restoration that has restored the building to its former majesty. Many of the original design details have been carefully preserved, and benefit from the modern, lineal interiors by Ramón Esteve’s studio. The NH Palacio de Tepa boasts 85 guestrooms in neutral tones that perfectly capitalize on the available natural light that beautifully illuminates every room and suite. Located in the heart of the bohemian Bario de las Letras, the hotel is nestled between the Plaza del Angel and Atocha. Guests will positively delight in their culinary options, highlighted by the presence of the second branch of Paco Ronchero’s two Michelin-starred gastro bar, Estado Puro, where diners enjoy the selection of avant garde tapas, as well as the hotel’s signature restaurant, La Cuchara de Tepa.

Estado Puro
Newly opened in 2011 by two Michelin-starred chef, Paco Roncero, this Spanish gastrobar delivers fine fare made from both traditional recipes as well as new unique menu surprises. Opened following the success of Roncero's first Estado Puro establishment, the chef has already been widely praised for his award-winning culinary skills. Chef Roncero was even more daring with this addition by featuring a menu of mostly avant-garde tapas, a plate that plays with the idea of eating with your hands. Mixed with superior cocktails, Estado Puro is the perfect addition to Madrid’s nightlife scene.
