Hotel Lopez de Haro

The authentic five-star hotel in Bilbao. Within its rooms, Frank Gehry designed his great Guggenheim Bilbao Museum. Personalities including Jane Fonda, Dalai Lama, Gwyneth Paltrow and Lenny Kravitz, have made this hotel their home during their visits to the Biscay capital. The hotel is located in the city center, five minutes walking distance from the Guggenheim museum and near the rest of Bilbao's main sights. It features personalized guest services, classic decoration, and a restaurant specializing in Basque cuisine with the chef's special touches. The hotel has 53 rooms and suites, a ladies' floor, an executive floor, non-smoking rooms and three meeting rooms.

Moët et Chandon Bar
Inside the unique design hotel, Lopez de Haro, exists a veritable temple to the champagne gods, Moët et Chandon. The hotel’s Ambigu Lounge is the Bilbao home to the famed French winery, and it’s a fitting setting indeed. A black Murano crystal lamp complements the striking red of the center bar, which divides the lounge area in two. On one side the classic English club, replete with fireplace and comfortable leather armchairs, is the ideal setting for a pre-dinner aperitif. To the left, a club of more modern stylings is perhaps better suited for a bit of late-night debauchery, induced, of course, by large amounts of bubbly.
