Hotel J.K. Place, Capri

A historic hotel in a prestige location

 JK capri

The JK Capri, previously known as Hotel Continental, is situated almost opposite the former Hotel Grotte Bleue. The JK was initially managed by Giuseppe Maldacena 13th, who had established a company with the brother-in-law Antonio Cimino, a sailor married to Maria Maldacena.
The first premises of Hotel Continental consisted of a private house named Villa Bovaro, which was built before 1878 and was converted into a hotel before 1885, as also witnessed by a C.W. Allers’s picture dated 1891, where the only legible word on the front of the building is «Hotel …»; at that time it belonged to Mario Canale, owner of several real estates all over the island.
The hotel is situated in the island of Capri, near the Marina Grande, the main harbour. It is reachable from Naples harbour by hydrofoil in about 45 minutes. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service from Capri harbour to the hotel and to the Capri main square.
