Hessischer Hof
An aristocratic hotel ideal for business and leisure trips to Frankfurt
Hotel Hessischer Hof, a member of "The Leading Hotels of the World", is located on the edge of Frankfurt's Westend district, not far from the trade fair area Frankfurt Messe. It is therefore the perfect hotel for business travellers. The city centre is also within walking distance, with its opera house (Frankfurt Alte Oper), museums, Goethe's House, the Frankfurt shop exchange, Frankfurt zoo, the Palmengarten, Maintower, Frankfurter Cathedral, and the shopping streets, Zeil, MyZeil, Goethestraße, Berger Straße, and Main-Taunus-Zentrum. The hotel has been open from 1952, and for all these years it has remained the city's only privately-run luxury hotel, still owned by the von Hessen family of landgraves and princes. Staff are all committed to providing guests with highest quality, first-class service, kindness and an enchanting attitude.
Rooms and suites are luxuriously appointed, tastefully furnished in Art Déco style or with antique furniture pieces from the Prinz von Hessen collection. Standard rooms are between 20 and 30 square metres in size, in light pastel tones, with comfortable chairs and sophisticated light fittings. Technology includes wi-fi internet access, free minibar and Pay-TV channels. In addition, there are mini-bars, movies, fresh fruit and mineral water in all rooms, shoe-shine-service and access to the facilities of the Mainhattan Sports Club. The other room types are progressively larger, upt to the 60 square metre Junior Suites, with separate living and bedroom. Fine antiques previously owned by the von Hesse family offer a unique ambience of style and extravagant comfort. Suite bathrooms are particularly lavish, with a dark marble décor and golden trim.
Room service includes the possibility of being served hot and cold dishes directly in your room.
Fitness & Leisure
The hotel's central location means that many activites are close at hand, whether sports, fitness, sightseeing or cultural events. The Mainhattan Sports Club offers workout facilities, in a charming fin-de-siècle building right next to the hotel. Hotel guests can use the facilities free-of-charge. The club's sauna offers relaxation after strenuous workouts.
Alternatively, you can opt for the In-Room Spa, a relaxing massage by the experienced and pleasant hands of "Gentle Touch of Health." This service can be booked short-notice and carried out in your hotel room. The wide range of massage techniques available include sports massage, anti-stress and much more. Different beauty treatments are also available, and wellness packages can be arranged according to individual demands.
Airport VIP Service
Individual services are provided for airport passengers, with a personal VIP attendant who can take care of everything and escort you through pre- or post-flight procedures, including security procedures, avoiding the usual ways through the terminal. Luxury limousines and VIP buses are available for your transfer between lounge and aircraft and vice versa.
Sèvres restaurant
A fine restaurant in Frankfurt, Sèvres specializes in affordable gourmet dining in an outstanding ambience. The three-courses lunches and dinners are particularly popular among local business people. Restaurant Sevrès is the ideal place to continue your business meeting when Frankfurt Messe closes its doors. Its name is derived from a gift from Napoleon, French Emperor: beautifully displayed Sèvres porcelain from one of the leading European porcelain factories makes for a very extraordinary backdrop and gives the restaurant its unique atmosphere. The German and international cuisine is enhanced by first-class service, and several dishes are served, carved or filleted right at the table by the maître himself. Wine connoisseurs may choose from a fine selection of vintages coming from the hotel's own Prinz von Hessen vineyard, as well as other labels from all over the world.
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 6.30 a.m.-11.00 a.m., midday-2.30 p.m., 6.30-10.30 p.m.
Wintergarden
What could be more mellow than a cosy armchair, and a delicious piece of home-made cake accompanied by a delectable hot coffee? In the afternoon the winter garden at Hotel Hessischer Hof becomes the place where hotel guests, business people and inhabitants of the aristocratic Westend neighbourhood like to gather.
Jimmy's Bar
A bar's reputation is in large part due to its staff and their skill in preparing their speciality cocktails. The choice available at Jimmy's Bar is exceptional, whether cocktails, whiskies or whiskeys, champagne or wine.
LUXOS recommends: Ravioli with mozzarella filling, white balsamico crème and cherry tomatoes
The house speciality cocktail is Jimmy's cocktail: Pisco, lime juice, passion fruit juice, pineapple juice, red orange
