Grand Visconti Palace
An urban resort perfect for both business and leisure travellers in Milan
A green oasis in the heart of Milan. This hotel has a fine Italian-style garden – it was once the site of the Verga Mill, where trains would pull up to collect Italy’s flour – and it is something very rare in Milan, a resort hotel. This contemporary yet classic retreat pairs all the leisure attractions of a resort with the conveniences of the metropolis. Chic and minimalist yet luxuriant design runs through the bedrooms, right up to the exclusive Tower Suite, spanning three floors that are connected by a spiral staircase and a private lift. From the Tower, guests have fine views over the rooftops and spires of this couture city, and they can soak in the Jacuzzi at the mini pool. Should you be tempted to ever leave, the elegant penthouse Al V Piano restaurant offers delicate Mediterranean fusion cuisine, and the weekly jazz club in the winter garden is an evocative visit.

The Mission of Visconti Palace
The Grand Visconti Palace was designed with the objective of creating a true resort at the heart of the city, an oasis of green and relaxation, in which guests can be both at the centre of Milan's dynamic urban lifestyle and in a relaxing, secluded setting. The design team worked tirelessly at forming interior and exterior spaces where guests feel at home and can surrender themselves to the pampering luxury that they expect and deserve.
Through its meticulous service based on an attention to the smallest details, the Grand Visconti Palace is ideal not only for business clients, but also to all those who wish to treat themselves to moments of welless, in the contemporary quest for a rewarding lifestyle.
Green spaces in the heart of the city
The outdoor spaces, onto which most of the inner areas face, are fundamental in establishing the atmosphere of the hotel. The “winter garden”, in a steel and glass structure, becomes a natural extension of the Visavis bar and the Visconti's lobby. The magnificent park, extending over 2,500 square meters, is a triumph of nature: an oasis of relaxation and green in the heart of the city, in which to enjoy the pool, the wellness centre and the plenary hall of the Conference Centre. The style and rigor of the geometry of the classic Italian garden are cadenced by fountains that contribute to creating an atmosphere of total relaxation. The delicious wrought iron gazebo is a special space for welcoming guests for a drink or meal and work meetings: portable computers, e-mail, fax…everything can be used wireless in this corner of paradise, as it is fitted not only with fibre optics, but also with wi-fi in all of the internal and external areas. The Grand Visconti Palace offers the possibility, unique in Milan, to use satellite videoconferencing to connect via video to the world at satellite speed.
Rooms
The Grand Visconti Palace offers 172 rooms of different types – Classic, Quality, Exclusive, Suite – designed to meet the different needs of customers. All are beautifully decorated, and enhanced by valuable Italian marble, splendid Murano glass lamps, and sophisticated lighting.
The refinement of the rooms is complemented by details that produce a sense of familiarity, similar to the feeling of being at home in an environment that you know and love. In other words, fine and thoughtful touches that give the guest the sensation of being in a unique place, one conducive to total relaxation.
The Tower Suite is a real jewel in Milan's hotel accommodation: 120 square meters arranged on three floors, reached by private elevator. The suite provides the unusual and exciting experience of seeing the city from a whirlpool bath.
A High Quality location for every need
The Grand Visconti Palace offers a variety of options for every need and every occasion. The Visconti Hall, with its extensive windows looking out on the inner park, is designed not only for dining, but also for other uses. It offers a delicious start to the day with an extensive breakfast buffet: sweet and savory specialities, including a health-food section, as well as a fine selection of coffees and teas from around the world.
“Visavis” is a lounge bar that is open late into the night, for both guests and non-guests. It is the ideal place for drinks and informal meetings in an intimate atmosphere, where you can enjoy the most original and mouth-watering cocktails.
The restaurant "al V° piano" is located on the fifth floor of the hotel (as described by its name). It offers a menu that combines authentic Italian traditions with interesting contemporary cuisine. The setting is discreet and refined, with a spectacular view of the rooftops of Milan. The restaurant has an entrance from Via Mantova, and it is open to non-guests.
Conference Center
Ideal for meetings, conferences, presentations and fashion shows, the Grand Visconti Palace offers everything necessary for business communications. The conference centre has state-of-the-art technology, and it can host from 10 to 250 people: there are 12 rooms of different sizes, ranging from 40 to 300 square meters, some of which can be subdivided and adapted according to requirements. The meeting rooms were named after the gates of Milan closest to the hotel, symbolising the hotel's vocation for hospitality. For example, the historic gate Porta Romana, close to the hotel and famous as a focal point for the city's nightlife, has been used as the name of the largest conference room.
