Grand Hotel et des Palmes

A unique combination of style and history in Sicily's capital

 des palmes

The Grand Hotel delle Palme dates back to 1874, located in the Ingham-Whitaker mansion built in 1856, and connected by an underground tunnel to the Anglican church that is still today opposite the hotel. In 1907, architect Ernesto Basile renovated the hotel in Art Nouveau style. It has always played an important part in Palermo's history: in 1881, Richard Wagner finished "Parsifal" here; French writer Raymond Roussel lived here up until his death. Today it is one of the best-known hotels in the world, with an inimitable style. There are 172 rooms and 8 suites, offering an atmosphere that combines history, sophistication and high technology. Facilities include a well-equipped fitness centre.
