Grand Hotel et de Milan

At the heart of Milan's fashion, art and music

This hotel is part of Milan's history, with a unique atmosphere created by antiques and historic objects, fine timber flooring, Italian marble bathrooms and meticulous detailing. Seventy-two rooms and twenty-three suites offer interiors ranging from classical to design, and throughout, memories of composer Giuseppe Verdi who lived here for over twenty years, just a short distance from his beloved Teatro alla Scala. The hotel's bars and restaurants have become fixed features on the city's luxury nightlife scene, including Don Carlos with its traditional Italian cuisine, remaining open late for after-theatre dining.

Restaurant & Bar Caruso

The Don Carlos Restaurant

Gerry's Bar
Gerry's Bar is a discreet, elegantly private lounge in the heart of Milan. An ideal place for a cup of tea, an aperitif or a quick lunch. Together with the American Bar, it has become a favourite after-theatre venue, open until late at night. Recently refurbished but still retaining its unique atmosphere, it now attracts a more “urban chic” clientele who enjoy the venue's atmosphere for aperitifs. It is also perfect for business appointments far from the noise and bustle of the city.

Caruso di Fuori
Caruso fuori is a new meeting point in the heart of Milan. It is a sophisticated venue with an authentic period atmosphere, opposite where the world-famous high fashion shopping street Via Montenapoleone begins, and it has become an ideal location for a drink and a chat in stylish company. There is a plant-bedecked veranda, and a winter garden where daylight is poetically filtered by the glazing and the leaves of the trees. In the evening, the atmosphere is made even more mellow by the romantic light of candles, and the lampshades of various shape that hang over the iron garden tables.

Open from Monday to Saturday, from 12.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 6.30 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. for lunch and aperitifs.
On Sundays, from 12.30 p.m. to 3 p.m..

Meeting Rooms
The Verdi, Puccini, and Giordano are three well-lit and spacious rooms that provide both atmosphere and modern technology for special events, business meetings, receptions, banquets and exhibitions. The Verdi Room is a splendid original period setting, perfect for receptions and business meetings in a refined
and elegant period environment. The Puccini Room, enhanced by a prestigious collection of paintings of Maria Luigia of Austria, represents a classic example of nineteenth century enlightenment architecture. A wide corridor separates the Puccini Room from the Giordano Room in which wonderful papier peintre greets its guests creating an intimate and refined setting, typically of ‘old Milan’ palazzi.
