Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat

Superb Côte d'Azur hospitality at this legendary establishment

Paradise on earth. This is a frequent description of the Alpes-Maritimes which form such a dramatic backdrop to the Côte d'Azur, with its dazzling light, healthy air and turquoise sea. The hotel, built in 1908, quickly became a favourite with the international élite. Over the decades, it has seen tourism in the south of France change from a predominantly winter retreat to the summer tourism that is predominant today.

The Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat offers state-of-the-art hospitality solutions in a superb period building set in verdant green gardens, that in themselves represent something exceptional. Seven hectares, with almost 400 tree species, terraces, cascading pools, terracotta pots, a world of sun, shade and colour, rich in the scents of nature. The Olympic-sized heated seawater pool is always a favourite with guests.

Rooms and suites

Rooms and suites, some in the historical building and some in the residence, are wonderfully appointed, with contemporary design and decoration by Pierre-Yves Rochon, and pastel colours that create a bright, peaceful and restful atmosphere. Many have wonderful views over the Mediterranean, and some have a terrace or a loggia. Suites are spacious, with the same unique views. The Deluxe Suites offer a one-off experience, and in particular, the Roof Top Suite on the top floor has a 33 square metre terrace, and 180° views over the Med. This Suite, along with two seaview rooms with terraces, make up the Cocteau Suite, a penthouse whose facilities include a Jacuzzi and a steam room.

The swimming pool suites in the residence offer a very special luxury, in a sleek, modern building, each suite with access to its own private swimming pool.

Concierge services at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat are comprehensive and efficient. Staff can book a limousine, organize airport transfer, hire a boat or book a table in a restaurant, order fresh flowers, air tickets, and much more.

The menu is accompanied by a truly exceptional wine linst, with over 600 labels from France and other countries, with some rare vintages. Just to give you an idea, the hotel possesses the finest collection of Château d’Yquem in the world, with 150 vintages of this dessert wine dating from 1854 to 2003. Other rarities include Château Lafite Rothschild running back to 1799. These two collections are exhibited in the Salon des Collections alongside the gourmet restaurant.
