The Golf Hotel Is Arenas is on the western coast of Sardinia, in a superb and uncontaminated natural setting represented by the typical Mediterranean pine forest. The hotel was designed with a series of volumes based on the use of high technology and energy saving. The ecosystem played an important part in the design process, because the buildings are never higher than the surrounding vegetation. Visitors have the impression of being part of the pine forest. Interiors were created by architect and designer Lorenzo Bellini. The lighting concept privileges gentle colours and light tones, heightening the concept of harmony with the surroundings. Materials are principally natural, such as Sardinian marble, natural stone, chestnut timber beams, and valuable textiles.

The lounge bar is linked to the swimming pool, where there is a veranda forming an oasis of peace in which to enjoy drinks and high-quality snacks. At dusk, emotional cocktails and champagnerie prepare guests for dinner. There are various restaurant facilities in different parts of the resort, but the principal space is a restaurant with large panoramic windows and superb Mediterranean cuisine. The menu includes some typically Sardinian specialities.
The hall and lobby are spacious interiors, with natural lighting for most of the day. The extensive glazed areas place interiors into contact with exteriors. The same concept has been adopted for rooms and suites, with picture windows looking onto a remarkable landscape. Most of the accommodation units have an open-air space, such as a veranda, balcony, terrace, garden or shaded patio. Interiors are fundamentally minimalist, with purple accents.

The Golf Suites and Super Suites are ideal for peace and absolute privacy. They are located near the hotel, immersed in the pine forest. They are villas with a large bedroom and a lounge area. They can be used for from one to five guests. The hotel is a Swiss-Association five-star, which means that its comfort and facilities are guaranteed. Features include satellite TV, air conditioning, wi-fi, swimming pool, and the par 72 18-hole course designed by the American architects Robert Von Hagge, Smelek & Baril.
