Chateau Marmont Hotel and Bungalows
A fantastical folly in the land of make-believe
Chateau Marmont is part of the stuff of Hollywood legend, with its memories of personalities such as Howard Hughes, Greta Garbo, the members of Led Zeppelin, Jim Morrison, Humphrey Bogart, Rex Reed, Raquel Welch and many others. Just its architecture is a dream in itself, modelled on a royal resicdence in the Loire Valley, France.
It has 63 rooms, cottages and bungalows, most of which have kitchens, lounges or living rooms, while some have formal dining rooms, balconies and terraces. Its top accommodation is the two-bedroom suite, with king and queen-sized beds, two bathrooms, a dressing area, living room, a fully functioning fireplace, complete kitchen, dining room, and a 1,500 square foot private terrace with panoramic views over Hollywood.
Bar Marmont, open seven days a week from 6 pm to 2 am, presents a menu replete with European influence, featuring fresh, local produce and uncomplicated, flavoursome recipes.
