Boscolo Palace Roma
Belle Epoque fascination on Via Veneto
The Boscolo Palace Roma is on Via Veneto, so closely linked to the world of fashion, cinema and high society, and in fact stepping into the hotel is like entering the Belle Epoque. Art Nouveau ironwork at the gates introduces the visitor to the dramatic architecture of the hotel in brick and travertine, while inside, stucco-work, enamelling, frescoes, marbles and gilt present a fantastic impression of style. The Concierge is on hand to provide advice on events, venues and shows in Rome, and can even book guided tours to the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums, and concerts at the Quirinale.
The 87 rooms distributed over 7 floors include Executives Suites, and the Presidential Suite with panoramic views, where luxury and comfort are combined with the fine furnishings that continue the 1930s feel, in a lovely chromatic combination based on pink and grey. The Presidential Suite in particular has a lovely view over Via Veneto.
The Restaurant
The Restaurant at the Boscolo Palace is an invitation to relax and enjoy the pleasure of food. The "Boscolo Food Experience" is a tribute to Italian cuisine. The superb Cadorin hall - location of the Lounge Bar - leads into the Restaurant, an open-sopace setting in which luxury is given a contemporary expression. The restaurant looks onto Via Veneto, providing sensations of both tranquillity and the energy of Rome's "dolce vita."
The Lounge Bar
Stepping into the Lounge Bar at the Boscolo Palace in the evening is a remarkable experience, like being transported back to the atmosphere of 1930s New York. The candle-lit tables are in a setting featuring Belle Epoque frescoes by Guido Cadolin, and even the tablecloths were specially chosen to fit the mood. The Lounge Bar is open from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. (in winter) and through to 2 a.m. in spring and summer. It serves a buffet breakfast, and a superb brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, with an extensive buffet of savoury and sweet specialities, and a chef on hand for recipes prepared at the moment. Light dishes are available for lunch. It is the evening when the Lounge Bar becomes truly magical, with an à la carte menu presenting Italian specialities with touches of French culinary style. The bar staff specialize in the New York cocktails tradition, but whatever you drink, it is served with a personal mini-buffet selection expertly matched to your selected beverage.
