Take time out of your schedule and immerse yourself into the educational world of gourmet. If you have a spare afternoon in a city then there are few other ways to emmerse yourself in the local culture and flavour than by taking a cookery course.  With Asia's frenetic culinary star on the rise there are a plethora of schools across the continent that serve every ability and taste.

Corner Kitchen, situated on the corner of Po Hing Fong and Pound Lane, offers the concept of team building for companies to get out of the office and make their way into the kitchen. Team-building cooking parties break down departmental walls and get everyone together for a great cause: making good food!

The event starts with a welcoming session of wine and tapas (always a wonderful idea), after which Corner Kitchen Chef and Owner Vivian Herijanto will lead your team like in a professional kitchen to prepare, cook, plate-up and serve a 3-course meal menu of your choice in just 1-and-a-half hours. Up for a challenge? Break into two groups and participate in a kitchen battle!

Complete Deelite

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Complete Deelite, an authorised school of the Wilton Cake Decorating Method, is here to stay. Besides Wilton courses which take an average of four days to complete, a wealth of two-to-three hour classes will show you how to make cupcakes, cake pops, cookies and classic cakes. Make buttercream for piping, then stack, tier and decorate your own masterpiece that you can take home and enjoy.

Exclusive courses led by guest artists from around the world make Complete Deelite a true hub for all those who love a sweet treat. Creative Director Jacinta Yu teaches you how to sculpt a sumptuous handbag or a high heel shoe cake, add metallic finishes, zippers, handles, and create exotic skin textures. Over the course of five hours, not only will you create the ultimate fashion accessory, you will also get to know other cake enthusiasts in your class.
