Sunset at Wanchunting
Beijing
Jinhshan Park was once the royal garden of the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties and wasn't opened to the public until 1928. It is composed of five different peaks, each with their own viewing pavilion but for the standout view head to the most central, Wanchunting, the highest point in the Beijing Imperial grounds. See a breathtaking view of palaces in the Forbidden City as well as the city of Beijing, the Drum Tower and Beihai Lake during sunset.
The park is also considered beautiful for its peony flowers which are best viewed from April-May.
Getting there:
The Jinhshan Park is opposite the north gate of the Forbidden City and the closest bus stations are Gu Gong, Jingshan Houjie or Xibanqiao Station
