Pintxos

Bilbao, Basque Country

Pintxos is the Basque version of tapas, pintxos are usually eaten in bars as a snack whilst enjoying a drink among friends. They are called pintxos because they are served with a pincho or toothpick. Portions of pintxos are much larger than their tapas counterparts and usually include hake or cod.

Pintxos are usually accompanied by a glass of txakolí, a regional wine from the Basque Country.
