Bagni di Bormio Spa

Via Bagni Nuovi 7, Valdidentro (SO)

Getting people into perfect shape since 1 BC. Set in the verdant paradise that is Stelvio National Park, just three minutes away from Bormio city centre, the Terme Bagni Nuovi and the Terme Bagni Vecchi (new and old thermal springs) embody a new concept of the Thermal Spa Centre integrated with the latest generation of technologies to enhance the wellbeing of body and mind. The spa is richly equipped with different types of saunas, hydrotherapy tubs, steam rooms and other rooms dedicated to relaxation, chromotherapy, music therapy, aromatherapy, waterfalls and Vichy showers in addition to a large solarium and the natural sudatorium grotto, which leads to one of the thermal springheads in the heart of the mountain. The Wellbeing Maestro explains to guests how to get the best out of the thermal spring practices and how to maintain the wellbeing of body and mind also at home as part of their daily routine.

The ground floor halls provide a taste of the characteristically central European atmosphere of luxury 19th-early 20th century Alpine hotels. Traces of Belle Epoque décor hallmark the main halls and their floral motif decoration, and older Neoclassical decoration can be seen on the ceilings in the Sala degli Affreschi. Some of these halls have been arranged specifically for Conventions. The luxurious Ballroom, lit by large panoramic windows which look out over the gardens and the valley, along with Murano glass chandeliers, are heated by a sumptuously decorated fireplace. These rooms once hosted banquets for the elite which at that time frequented Bormio and their spas, enlivened by music coming from the galleries. Today it is used as a dining room that can accommodate banquets for 200 people.
