Cafe Gray Deluxe

Lvl 49, The Upper House, Pacific Place, 88 Queensway, Hong Kong

A STUNNING dining room of purples, golds, candlelight and breathtaking views over the harbour, Cafe Gray Deluxe is the only place to go in Hong Kong for modern European cuisine.

Begin your night in the bar with a beautiful glass of red or white from Australia or New Zealand. They also have snacks such as polenta fries and cold cuts amongst other tasty treats but if you're dining in the restaurant you'll want to save room for what's in store!

Chef Gray Kunz is world-renowned for his culinary artistry. His version of a Grilled Tiger Prawn and pomelo salad with lemongrass oil, basil and roasted peanuts not only looks like heaven but tastes like it too. I could taste the freshness in the product and the combination of flavours only enhanced this. For the main dish, I'd chosen the Duck, pear and Foie gras sausage with lentil stew, truly unique and truly wonderful.

Literally everything on the dessert menu sounded amazing (they even have a separate list for chocolate desserts) so recommended to me was the Hazelnut and Praline Creme Brulee with Grapefruit Granite which was sensational and just enough but I'm sure this is the case for all the desserts as my companion had the Bitter chocolate Souflee with raspberry Grand-Marnier sauce (yum!)

Its the ability to get an incredible meal with influences from different cultures all over the world is exactly what I love most about Hong Kong and if its your first time here, the European fare at Cafe Gray Deluxe is a great place to start.
