1881 Heritage

Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

In a fast-changing city like Hong Kong, old buildings are constantly fighting for space with new developments. With just a few historical sites remaining in the former British era, they are a precious reminder of Hong Kong’s past. Officially declared as a monument in 1994, the former Marine Police Headquarters have been transformed into a shopping landmark called 1881 Heritage.

With some of the biggest brands in jewellery, watch and fashion, it is conveniently located on Canton Road, just behind Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Museum of Art, Space Museum and other attractions in Tsim Sha Tsui. The transformation took six years to complete. In order to preserve the historical value of the site, the 1881 Heritage project involved an international team of architects, historical building preservationists, designers, engineers, tree and landscape experts. Wherever possible, heritage features were restored according to world conservation standards.

Now, 1881 Heritage houses Alfred Dunhill, Breguet, Cartier, Lancel, Montblanc, Paspaley, Piaget, Rolex, Tiffany & Co, Tudor, Van Cleef & Arpels and Vivienne Tam etc. The flagship stores of IWC, Vacheron Constantin and Shanghai Tang are right here too. As always, shoppers can expect much more than just boutiques, as eight bars and restaurants and Hullett House hotel complete your shopping experience. 1881 Heritage is a unique shopping destination with a touch of local colour.
