Excelsior Milano
Galleria del Corso 4, Milan
This seven-storey fashion, design, cosmetic and gourmet emporium is a veritable wonderland of handpicked goodies from the very best names in the industry. Inside, the French architect has coated the walls of the old theatre with reflective paints that jump at the light beaming off LED screens. Each floor is disconnected from the perimeter, giving you the impression that you are floating, a multitude of balconies and an updated ticker evoke the site's former theatre persona.
Get a first look at the unique design concept Excelsior takes on selecting the very best from collections like Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Valentino and Marc Jacobs. Buying consultant Antonia Giacinti (owner of the city's Antonia multi-brand stores) gave her tastefule expertise to select only the best of the best. The ground floor boasts a Tiffany & Co. Boutique and a Ladurée sweets shop so you can grab some flakey and creamy macarons while browsing. Our favourite part is by far the basement level gourmet shop which stocks only the best in Italian gastronomy along with a take-out, bistro and café masterminded by reputed Italian Chef Davide Oldani. We are certain Excelsior is going to change the face of shopping in Milan, with the best of Italian luxury under one roof.
