The kingdom of Raul Aleixandre features superb fresh seafood, such as shrimps, crayfish, lobsters, bass, bream and monkfish. Raul himself goes to the fish market at the harbour and chooses the fare that will then be prepared with artful simplicity so as to enhance their natural flavour. Aleixandre is the rising star of Mediterranean cuisine, winning the Best Chef award for Spain in 2004, before he had reached the age of 30. He combines traditional Valencian cuisine with some surprising and masterly touches. Fantastic wine list.
