At a glance, a squadron of waiters, photographers and sommeliers strive to make your life suddenly resemble a scene from Casino Royale. At 8pm the curtain goes up, cue the jazz orchestra: a redheaded Russian warbles from the languorous famous songs circling the tables of lovers, businessmen and enchanted tourists alike. The dinner-show treats you to foie gras, champagne and Saint-Jacques nuts, when suddenly there’s pitch black, green lasers, thunder! A feathered egg slices through the sky, laying another Liza Minnelli supported by fifty dancers dressed up as brightly coloured birds! Women in ties – “the bluebell girls” - hide their chests behind fur lapels! Furthermore there’s a devilish number and another more Shakespearean one with a two-headed statue! A pyramid coming out of the sun! A giant (plastic) elephant! A horse (a real one this time)! Piaf, Chaplin, Marilyn, Neo from The Matrix! And of course the octogenarian Parisian cabaret has a few more surprises.
