Brunello Bar
Kensington’s Brunello Bar has a chic new makeover – sumptuous gold brocade glimmers on seemingly endless armchairs, reflecting the soft light of the black baroque chandeliers. The milieu of this ultra-sophisticated destination is that of opulence, so it comes as no surprise when Bar Manager Lino Marchese blends a rich Cointreau base with a heady champagne top to create a seductively lavish elixir.

Ingredients:
10ml Cointreau
10ml Grand Marnier
10ml Peach Schnapps
10ml Lime Juice
10ml Sugar Syrup
Top with Krug Champagne

Appearances can be deceptive: although rich and complex, this champagne cocktail is quick and simple to make, with each of the ingredients required in equal measures. The Cointreau and Grand Marnier give it a strong, masculine base, while the lime juice and champagne lend a frivolous kick. Take a cocktail shaker and add each of the ingredients one by one. Shake well, strain the mixture and serve in a frosted martini glass. Top with a generous dose of Krug for a decadent finish. This is the perfect early evening drink as an entrée to a night of mystery and adventure.
