Hamburg
Hamburg is the second-largest city in Germany. The people of Hamburg are known as "Hamburgers;" the like-named beef roll was possibly invented here, but it is not a part of local specialities. The principal shopping streets are Neuer Wall and Große Bleichen. Sights include the Rathaus (city hall); harbour views from the tower of St. Michaelis; the world's largest model railway at Miniatur Wunderland; and the world-famous red-light district, the Reeperbahn in the Sankt Pauli district, which is also the nightlife focal point. Important museums include the Kunsthalle (19th century art) on Glockengießerwall. U-434 is a museum based on one of Russia's largest non-nuclear submarines.
