Lily & Bloom

6F LFK Tower, 33 Wyndham Street, Central, Hong Kong

The 'talk of the town', newly opened Lily & Bloom is a great place to spend a night out in Hong Kong. The partnership with NYC design is clear from the look of it which will have you feeling as though you are in trendy Brooklyn (even though you are really in one of Hong Kong's many towers!)

We began our night in Lily (upstairs) where the cocktails are as focused as they are delicious! Made with boutique spirits and by expert mixologists we watched from the comfy old-school lounges as they shook up my drink, the 'Blackberry-Pineapple Sidecar' a mix of blackberries, pineapple, hennessy VSOP cognac, cointreau and lemon-up! AMAZING! Also, although a classic, I can highly recommend the 'Espresso Martini' which I ended my night with (but we'll get to that!). We had to be careful with the supper menu to save room for the next phase but I ate the 'Fois Gras Torchon' which was was just one of the many delcious light meals I saw being devoured at other tables.

Bloom is down the stairwell and best described as an American-style Brasserie which features a raw bar. Starting with tequila Oyster shooters to keep our buzz we then followed this with appetizers to share, Seared scallops with cream corn and curry oil and Roasted bone marrow with red wine shallots and salsa verde. For mains I chose the Scallion Gnocchi which was great but I slightly prefered my companions choice of Organic sirloin with horseradish butter.

Service downstairs was top notch and really made our night perfect. If you're still going after all that head back up to Lily which was still full of atmosphere until late in the night. And if you ever need to host a small party when in town, Lily has a great private space which looks over the dining room which I'm sure would make for a sexy event!
