Somehow a well-kept secret is the wonderfully authentic Almaz, nestled in a corner on the top floor of Harvey Nichols. The open kitchen and breathtaking interior evokes the aromas and colours of Marrakesh. The main restaurant and kitsch shisha lounge are open all day, with the formal dining area available in the evenings. Although there are no alcoholic beverages on the menu, the cuisine packs a punch of its own. The couscous is light and fluffy, the tagines simple and fragrant and the pastries, made fresh daily, are perfectly crisp and sweet. Ensure you end your meal with a sweet Moroccan mint tea poured from a height, for a little added theatre.
