Meydan Race nights

These preliminary races are considered the route towards the premiere leagues such the Dubai World Cup and give local and regional talent a chance to show their potential. Global Village

The perfect destination for families, shopaholics and deal hunters Global Village offers a huge selection of both modern and cultural products. With 3,500 shops and kiosks plus an outdoor theme park to keep children entertained for hours. Shoppers can take in a little culture whilst at the Village choosing from over 12,000 performances during the five month season that include street performances, musical acts and cultural shows with entertainers from around the world.

A particular highlight is the international retail outlets that are sectioned into countries. Each country exhibits products from its region like handcrafted items and traditional cuisine.

Attracting visitors from across the globe the annual Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) takes place every January and is one of the city’s most anticipated shopping events.

Dubai doesn’t know the meaning of the word small, and this is certainly the case with numerous giveaways and prizes during the DSF. Shoppers can participate in various weekly draws organized by participating shopping malls and retailers. DSF to date has offered more than Dh.1.7bn by way of prizes including 33 Rolls-Royces and 734 kilos of gold.

Dubai Motor Show

The Dubai Motor Show is an automobile enthusiast's heaven with 15 halls of exhibitions that include the latest in car designs, driving technology, auto tuning tips and bespoke gear.

Dubai Show Jumping Championships

This three day show jumping competition takes place in late January at the Emirates Equestrian Centre (EEC). Olympic medalists, elite international riders and the region’s most talented show jumpers will compete for an array of prizes.
